Hypnotherapy & mental skills training

Cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH) is an effective, flexible, goal-focused form of hypnotherapy that can help to manage and overcome individual problems and challenges by changing the way we think, feel and behave, in a more positive way. It is essentially the integration of hypnosis with modern social, cognitive and behavioural psychology and benefits from a strong evidence base to support its use in the treatment of certain conditions, such as feelings of stress or anxiety, as well as to help manage certain physical ailments. 

CBH explains hypnosis in terms of everyday psychological processes such as expectation, imagination, role play, belief and motivation; so it is more a ‘mindset’ and attitude rather than a special trance-like state, which I believe is good news for clients, as it can be a learned, usable skill and not something passively done to you.

Working together involves a series of sessions that focus on mental skills training, where I will teach you powerful techniques and exercises that raise your awareness of how your mind works and how to maximise its potential so that it works for you, and not against you. Much of the time, the barriers and obstacles that get in the way of our ability to achieve something, are as much psychological, as they are physical, or practical. Developing your mental skills will improve your psychological flexibility and leave you more in control of your thoughts, attitude and mindset; this way, it’s you who gets to decide what you do, or don’t do (not your mind), freeing you to perform at your best and live a life that you find rewarding and fulfilling.

FREE — Initial 30 min Discovery Call

£350 — block booking of 4 treatment sessions (1 x 90 min, 3 x 60min, progress check-ins between sessions and provision of all learning resources)

£75/hour — subsequent sessions

Hypno-coaching

Sometimes we can feel a little ‘stuck’ in life. Coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship between coach and client, which helps the client gain clarity on what they want and supports them in achieving their goals. As a coach, my skills lie in helping you to define your goals and what is important to you, as well as identifying and breaking through any barriers that may be preventing you from achieving them; thereby helping you to get ‘unstuck’ and live the life you want. I use hypnosis with coaching to really embed the learning and facilitate positive changes using cognitive behavioural techniques, as well as those from the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

NLP offers a practical way of achieving positive changes by understanding how our mind works and how we do what we do in life. It refers to the relationship between our mind (neuro), the language we use to communicate with ourselves and others (linguistic) and how this in turn affects our bodies and our behaviour (programming). It can help to increase self-awareness and the ability to change our thinking to achieve different results in life. The more choices we have, the more chance we have of success.
